Its widely known, but some people let it slip under theyre feet, Google Analytics is a very powerfull traffic report tool, with google analytics you are granted acess to a lot of traffic analisis that are paid elsewhere for sure, charts, stats, keyword density, indexed pages, inbound links, etc...the list goes on and on and plus its free ! you only need to have a google account, wich you probably do already if you are a blogger.

I use Google Analytics everyday, for all my websites, If you dont do it already, start using as soon as possible.

Test your blog at Any Browser Dot Com

A blogger usually performes changes on the layout of his own blog, small or big, a blog is a living thing that grows, and grows heavier and father, not only do you need to keep your blog loading fast and light on images and http requests, you should keep the layout clean for your visitors, to many distractions and you lose visiting time from your viewers
One thing that you should avoid most are layout leaks and scroll bars, one site that I usually use to see if my site fites well in any broweser resolutions is www.anybrowser.com

You should do the same, this will help you see how a viewer with a small or bigger resolution will see your site/blog, and by that help you decide if its pleasent to navigate or not.

Submit Express Page Snooper

Submit Express is a very good way to do SEO, anyway this specific free utility they provide is great, you can "snoop" any page and check all the source code, and then you tell me, why is this good ? well, snoop a blogger blog and you get a free template ;) you get the ideia right ? just copy paste the code in to your blogger Html source and you get an identical template to the site you snooped.

Also, here is a a good video I found on youtube where you can submit your website/blog to a ton of directories, wich the bets ones to do so, are the ones powered by PhpLinkDirectory, so search google for free directories based on that script.

Effective Referral Links

Web surfers have become familiar with affiliate links. Many web surfers prefer not clicking affiliate links. Its a nice idea to make it harder for newbies to know that the link is an affiliate link. Smart bloggers & webmasters use techniques to cloak the Referral links to increase CTR.

There are many ways to hide affiliate links. The most common way is by using apache redirect.

For Ex: If i need to create a redirect for my text link ads affiliate link.

I will copy this code into .htaccess file located in website root directory.

RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^/?bidvertiser/?$ http://tinyurl.com/3584qc [R,L,NC]

Now my website URL http://www.ultraside.blogspot.com/bidvertiser , will redirect visitors to http://tinyurl.com/3584qc.

PHP Redirect:

You can also use PHP redirect. Create a new file named affiliate.php with following code in it.

Now you simply link to the file http://www.yoursite.com/affiliate.php from your webpages and your visitors will be redirected to your affiliate link.

By using one of these techniques Your referral CTR will go up and you will start making more money from referrals.
